Closer View Blog is just that, a closer view. I try to analyze different events, in order to understand the motives and connections in the political arena. It is fascinating how dirty it can get and how ignorant the masses are. I feel it is necessary to try and narrow things down, so it a simple person can look at the overall picture and understand things better. Hopefully my blog can provide some valuable information and be part of an ongoing process of educateing youself in world events.

My name is Alexey Sazonov. I was 11 years old when I came to United States from St. Petersburg, Russia. I have been interested in politics my whole life. It is disgustingly fascinating to me. I believe in rational thinking, especially when it comes to politics. Political analysis should be unbiased and verified. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and loyalties. However, public news and analysis should be based on multiple sources and facts.

I am currently a student at University of Illinois at Chicago, majoring in Economics, with minors in International Business and Political Science.
